DIAMOND TALK

Congratulations #12 Elliot Martin, of the Minors A's team for being the first minors player to hit a homerun over the fence at Hollinger Field. The game was played on June 5, 2010, between the Minors A's and the Minors Red Sox. Elliot came up to the plate in the bottom of the third inning with Luke Hameloth on 2nd, and Cameron Sell on first base. On the second pitch by the Red Sox hurler #4 Joel, Elliot crushed a game changing three run blast over the centerfield fence to the right of the flagpole. Elliot's homer led the A's to a playoff win over rival Red Sox in the second round of the Minors playoffs.

Congratulations Elliot on your achievement. The MCLLPA and Manheim Central Little League is very proud of you and Jordan Derr for being our first players to clear the fence. Your names will be enshrined at your home run locations for life. Again, congratulations on an amazing feat.

Congratulations #11 Jordan Derr, of Manheim Central Black. Jordan will go down in history as being the first player to hit a homerun over the fence at the new Hollinger Field on May 28, 2010. Jordan's blast cleared the fence over right center field and splashed into the creek.

According to Manheim Black coach, Kevin Grissinger, Jordan was at the plate with Sawter Nye on third and Robby Greenwald at first, with one out in the bottom of the third. Manheim Maroon pitcher, Alec Raia ,delivered a two ball two strike fastball thigh high, Jordan hit the pitch to deep right center field for a three run homer making Jordan the first batter to clear the fence at Manheim's new field.

The MCLLPA would like to congratulate Jordan on an outstanding hit.

Congratulations!

Pictures of Your Favorite Little Leaguer

MCLLPA and MAA have enlisted the help of Brandon Moore as our Official Photographer for Little League Baseball. Brandon will be taking pictures of all our Little League teams. The pictures from Fall Baseball are posted on a website where parents and grandparents can go to view and/or purchase photos or merchandise. The following link will take you to photos of Manheim Central Little League Fall Baseball.

Brandon will be making his way around to all the fields this spring and will attempt to get at least 1 picture of each player in Tee Ball, Coach Pitch, Minors and Majors. Please be sure to check out the web site frequently throughout the season. Brandon will donate a portion of the proceeds back to the MCLLPA. So be sure to get those great action photos of your favorite Little Leaguer. Don't forget, www.moorethananimage.com
